Evan McDougall is the Assistant Technical Director and Master Electrician at UMBC. Prior to accepting the position at UMBC, he had worked in the Baltimore and Washington D.C theatre community for 15 years as a scenic carpenter, welder and Assistant Technical Director for companies including Everyman Theatre and Imagination Stage.
He is a student of traditional arts such as blacksmithing and woodworking and enjoys finding ways to utilize those skills in a modern theatrical workspace while also taking advantage of modern techniques including computer aided design, CNC routing and welding.
