Mohammad R. Suaidi is a theatre-maker who has performed, directed, and conceptualized new devised works in Honolulu, Kuala Lumpur, Micronesia, New York and Singapore, as well as Baltimore, a city he has called home since 1997. After living and working abroad teaching English and Theatre for more than ten years, Mohammad returned to Baltimore in 2015, where he has since worked with Single Carrot Theatre on several productions as an actor before joining the company as an ensemble member in 2018. During the day, Mohammad is an English teacher working with refugees and new immigrants at Strong City Baltimore’s Adult Learning Center, and also a Theatre adjunct faculty at Towson University. Mohammad is a founding member of the Baltimore Asian Pasifika Arts Collective (BAPAC), a non-profit organization committed to promoting and advocating for Asian American and Pacific Indigenous representation in the arts.
