Linehan Artist Scholars Program (freshmen only)
The Linehan Artist Scholars Program is a four-year scholarship, supported by a generous gift from Earl and Darielle Linehan, for students who enter UMBC as freshmen with a major in the arts. The Linehan Artist Scholars Program looks for students who distinguish themselves both academically and artistically. Scholarships range from $5,000-$22,000 per year, for four years. For best consideration, prospective students are encouraged to apply for admission to UMBC by the university’s early action deadline of November 1, clearly indicating a major in Theatre. In addition to the UMBC Common Application, students must submit a separate Linehan Artist Scholars application to be considered as a candidate for the program. The application and all supplemental materials must be received by January 15.
