Margaret Caster is an award-winning costume technologist. Prior to accepting her position at UMBC, Margaret was working as a freelance artist across the states. As a freelance artist, Margaret has worn several hats including: Costume Shop Manager, Costume Design Assistant, Wardrobe Supervisor, Draper, First Hand, Crafts Artisan and many more.
She has worked for companies such as Maine State Music Theatre, Wolf Trap Opera, Berkshire Theatre Group, and Tuacahn Center for the Arts. As an artist Margaret holds a passion for exploring and utilizing unconventional materials into costuming. She is the Assistant Costume Shop Manager at UMBC.
